Style Guide: Julia Roberts in Givenchy
People’s 2017 World's Most Beautiful Woman, Julia Roberts, attended the Lancôme Stars & Wonders dinner in Cannes, France. The actress was spotted wearing Givenchy’s Spring 2017 outfit: black grain de poudre tuxedo jacket, black satin shorts, white poplin shirt, which is paired with black patent leather sandals.
LVMH Gain Control of Dior
French luxury empire LVMH and the French billionaire Bernard Arnault have consolidated control over Christian Dior for about US$18.3 billion yesterday. With this deal, LVMH will get Christian Dior haute couture, leather, men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, and shoe businesses despite already owning Parfums Christian Dior. The Arnault family owns a 47 percent stake in LVMH, whose brands also include Céline and Fendi along with Berluti, Givenchy and Loro Piana, which Mr. Arnault bought via LVMH.
Gucci Pre-Fall Campaign
Gucci released its pre-fall campaign that featured a stunning all-black cast of models and dancers. The ad campaign, which was lensed by photographer Glen Luchford, introduced Allesandro Michelle’s hippie and maximalist designs with aim to “challenge the conventions of society through performance, art and dance."
Calvin Klein’s Spring 17
Calvin Klein has tapped Hollywood director Sofia Coppola to shoot its latest women’s Spring 2017. The new video campaign featured the director’s muses Kirsten Dunst, Nathalia Love, Rashida Jones and Chase Sui Wonder, among the seven others with ages ranging from 18 to 73. The campaign was shot in grainy hues and debut a new slogan for the brand: "Calvin Klein, or nothing at all."
Actress Zoe Saldana arrived for her much-anticipated movie Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 in Tokyo, Japan, decked in red silk organza shirt with knit details paired with skirt in structured viscose, in which she worn with red patent leather sandals. Tres chic!
Dior’s Haute Couture 2017
Yesterday, Dior held its Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2017 collection in Tokyo which was inspired by the work of Christian Dior’s 1953 silhouettes and Japanese culture, especially its cherry blossom motifs on the clothing and headpieces. Rihanna x Chopard
Luxury jewellery fashion house Chopard is working with pop superstar Rihanna for an exclusive RIHANNA ♥ CHOPARD collection. The new collection will blend the brand’s haute jewelleries style and the iconic songstress’ Caribbean heritage with feature of minimalist geometry and sharp, clean lines. This vibrant collection will debut in May 2017 at Festival de Cannes event and celebrate Chopard’s 20th year as the official partner of the film event.
Fendi 'Can Eye'
FENDI presents the new ‘CAN EYE’ sunglasses as the protagonists of the new Girl’s Secret short-cut movie directed by Rebecca Zlotowski featuring Sigrid Bouaziz. The new sunglasses collection has a rigorous yet playful oversize squared shape In an intimate atmosphere where FENDI femininity, kawaii techno and a certain 18th century art de vivre collide, the film follows the night out of an imaginary nowadays “Queen of France”, who, hiding her secret behind her CAN EYE sunglasses, wanders around an unexpected Paris, from sunset to dawn. Louis Vuitton x Jeff Koons
Louis Vuitton has announced a new collaboration with contemporary artist, Jeff Koons. For the new collection, the artist, known for his Gazing Ball paintings, will recreated the work of past Maestros, such as Da Vinci, Van Gogh, Peter Paul Rubens and Jean-Honoré Fragonard, and adorned Louis Vuitton’s leather handbags and accessories. The LV x Koons new collection will be available by the end of this month.
Gucci x Mr Porter
Luxury fashion house Gucci is teaming up with digital retailer Mr Porter for a specially curated capsule collection for men. The new collection will include 43-piece that will feature suite of ready-to-wear apparel and accessories inspired by urbanism and self-expression. The new collection will also have Gucci’s iconic motifs like the bee and tiger, and will be available in May on Mr Porter.
Jill Sander’s New Creative Directors
Jill Sander has new creative directors! Lucie and Luke Meier will take the helm at the German fashion label, where previously Lucie worked as a designer for Louis Vuitton and Balenciaga, while husband Luke previously worked as the head designer for Supreme before launching his own brand, OAMC. The duo will debut their vision for Jill Sanders’ womenswear 2018 spring/summer collection.
Fashion Nation Eleventh Edition
The city’s hottest fashion week Fashion Nation returned once more at Senayan City last week. The opening night saw the new collection from three stellar Indonesian fashion designers, such as Andreas Odang, Sapto Djojokartiko and Yogie Pratama. The eleventh edition of Fashion Nation will run until April 16th, where a myriad of fashion shows and award show will take place.
Lady Gaga x Tiffany & Co.
Last February, we saw Lady Gaga in Tiffany & Co’s new video teaser, and now the American jewellery company has released a new visual campaign for its Tiffany HardWear collection. The new campaign features singer Lady Gaga in a black-and-white photo juxtaposed with a Tiffany blue backdrop picture—simply gorgeous!

Style Guide: Juliette Binoche in Chopard
French actress Juliette Binoche was spotted wearing Chopard jewellery at the American premiere of Ghost in the Shell. The 53-year-old actress wore a pair of 18ct white gold earrings set with pear-shaped diamonds, diamond briolette, an 18ct white gold bangle set with fancy-cut and square-shaped diamonds from the brand’s High Jewellery Collection.
Thylane Blondeau x L’Oreal
Just before her 16th birthday, Instamodel and French teen model Thylane Blondeau has been named the new face of L’Oreal and will appear in the French brand’s hair, make-up and skin-care categories. Not only that, Thylane will also be the first face of L’Oreal’s Hydra Genius line. L’Oréal has worked with the emerging models on a less official basis since last year, aiming to tap into the burgeoning Gen Z market.
Jenna Lyons Exits J.Crew
After 26 years at the denim-loving American brand J.Crew, Creative Director Jenna Lyons has announced that she will be departing the company. The news has been confirmed by the fashion house stating that Jenna will be off venturing into a new exciting adventure. We can’t wait for her next move!
Kristen Stewart x Chanel
Hollywood starlet and fashion icon Kristen Stewart stars in her debut “Gabrielle” video for fashion house Chanel. Three other public figures, Cara Delevingne, Caroline de Maigret and Pharrell Williams, have also participated in similar videos aiming to help launch Chanel's new bag, dedicated to the designer Gabrielle Bonheur “Coco: Chanel herself. In the new video, Kirsten Stewart was seen in a warehouse where she meets the spirit of Gabrielle and dances through the space. Watch the video, here.
