First Look: Givenchy’s Fall Winter Men

Givenchy has released its exclusive Men RTW for Fall/Winter 2017 by Riccardo Tisci in Paris last week. For the Fall/Winter 2017, the fashion genius used Western American references out of his childhood memories to build a positive Givenchy collection with the signature house codes, such as horizontal stripes, stars, embroidered check patterns and graphic colourful print. 

First Look: Fendi’s Fall Winter Men

Fendi has also released an exclusive Men RTW for Fall/Winter 2017 by Silvia Venturini during Milan Fashion Week. The collection is inspired by author Ernest Hemingway and artist Louise Bourgeois and showcased a handful of colours such as bright hues blend with daring contrast of materials and comfortable aesthetic.

Tiga Negeri: Peranakan Fashion

Three of the country’s most-renowned fashion designers: Edward Hutabarat, Didi Budiharjo and Adrian Gan teamed up for a special design and fashion installation entitled “Tiga Negeri: Peranakan Fashion” earlier this week. Held at Dia.Lo.Gue art space, the fashion show will be followed by an exhibition and talk show. 

Angelina Jolie x Guerlain

French luxury cosmetic brand Guerlain has picked Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie as the new face of its fragrance. The brand stated that the new fragrance is a reflection of all the different facets of a contemporary woman and will be created by master perfumer Thierry Wasser. Who isn’t excited about seeing Angelina Jolie back in the limelight?

Louis Vuitton x Supreme

Two mega fashion brands Louis Vuitton teamed up with Supreme and showcased their collaboration at the Paris Fashion Week Menswear Fall 2017/2018. The fashion show featured a myriad of collection from iPhone cases, wallet, gloves, and a two-piece suit paired with a red Supreme sidebag. The combination of streetwear and high fashion is a historical moment in the fashion industry!

Inside Dior’s Spring/Summer 2017

Christian Dior’s Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri's first haute couture show in Paris was the most-talked about topic in the fashion world. The collection showcased at Musee Rodin in Paris featured an ethereal beauty in a soothing palette of blue, pink and grey that is enveloped in a spring ambience and gives an exquisite fairy-tale feel.

Tommy Hilfiger at Pitti Uomo

The American fashion designer launched his men’s Fall 2017 Hilfiger Edition Line at Palazzo Corsini in Florence as part of Pitti Uomo’s trade fair. The designer was joined by a slew of Instagram-famous IT boys, such as Presley Gerber, Lucky Blue Smith and Julien Ocleppo, among others. Hilfiger has been in the fashion industry for over 32-year and for the first time his new edition will focus on the millennials.

Ralph Lauren returns to NYFW: Men's

The rumour has it that Ralph Lauren will return to New York Fashion Week (NYFW) after being absent for over two years since its inaugural in 2015. The designer has sent out invitations to showcase his Purple Label will be shown privately by appointment at the company’s Madison Avenue headquarters. NYFW: Men’s will be held from Jan 30th through Feb 2nd. Read our London’s MFW here.

Balmain frees the nipple this spring

The French fashion house once again showcased sex and rock n roll in its Spring 2017 ad campaign. The campaign stars supermodels Isabeli Fontana, Natasha Poly, and Doutzen Kroes strolling down a desert road in the sexy spring collection. Shot by photographer Steven Klein, the ad campaign is a nod to the "Free the Nipple" moment. 

Gucci named Ni Ni as eyewear ambassador

Gucci has named Chinese actress Ni Ni as its new ambassador for eyewear in Asia. The ad campaign was lensed by photographer Glen Luchford and focused on the actress wearing different styles of sunglasses and optical frames. The campaign will be released across Asia in February 2017.

Louis Vuitton cruising in Japan

Renowned fashion house Louis Vuitton is set to disclose the exact location for its May 14 show, but we now know that they have selected Japan to stage its 2018 Cruise Collection, after holding it in Rio de Janeiro last May 2016. The house said that it has always maintained strong ties with the Japanese culture since the end of the 19th century.

Elle Fanning returns to Miu Miu

The new Hollywood sweetheart Elle Fanning is back as the face of fashion brand Miu Miu. Entitled “Suddenly Next Summer” the brand’s Spring/Summer 2017 ad featured the actress joined by Lara Stone, Karen Elson, and Carolyn Murphy, among others. Photographed by Alasdair McLellan, the ad pictured the crew lying on the sand, swimming in the ocean while posing with their mini crocodile-clad purses on the beach. Elle Fanning first fronts the brand’s ad campaign in 2014.

Kristen Stewart picked by Chanel

Twilight star Kristen Stewart has landed another Chanel campaign, and this time it’s with none other than the famous singer Pharrell Williams. Fashion maven Karl Lagerfeld picked Kristen Stewart, Caroline de Maigret, Pharrell Williams and Cara Delevingne to front a campaign for Chanel’s Gabrielle bag.

Dolce & Gabbana’s new spring 2017 campaign

Luxury fashion house Dolce & Gabbana has tapped millennial actresses and fashion models for its latest spring 2017 campaign. Actress Zendaya, French model Thylane Blondeau and social media star Sonia Ben Ammar all star in a colourful ad campaign for the brand, which is captured in Capri, Italy. The ad campaign lensed by Franco Pagetti also featured local flavours, from Vespas and pasta to shops, while the girls shine in mixed polka dot prints, embellished jackets and distressed denim.

Kate Bosworth in Tory Burch’s new collection

American fashion designer Tory Burch has chosen actress Kate Bosworth as the new face of her Gemini Link handbag line collection. The new collection is inspired by the brand’s double-T logo and boasts 1970s-style cross-bodies, square totes and sleek satchels. Kate Bosworth looks chic in the new campaign lensed by Margaret Zhang, in which the actress was photographed wearing scarves, maxi skirts and cashmere sweaters.

Michael Kors VS Kate Hudson’s Game

American fashion designer Michael Kors is back with the third instalment of Glamour Games, and this time it’s against his best friend, the actress Kate Hudson. The duo competes over who can answer the most random questions about each other’s favourite things less than 10 seconds. Be prepared to laugh your head off!

Bella Hadid fronts Fendi

Model-of-the-moment Bella Hadid, who recently won Model of the Year, has a new reason to celebrate 2017: the younger Hadid has landed a campaign for Fendi! The model announced it on her social media saying that she will be fronting Fendi’s Spring/Summer '17 campaign and blessed us with the first-look, where the ad campaign was shot by none other than the King Karl himself and featured a muted colour palette and romantic florals against a vintage wooden doors adorned with patterned wallpapers.
