The 65th Miss Universe competition will take place on January 30 in the Philippines and our very own Puteri Indonesia 2016 Kezia Warouw will represent the country at the beauty pageant. Undoubtedly one of the most popular Puteri Indonesia, Kezia has gotten a lot of supports from netizens who adore and wish to see her winning the Miss Universe title.
With her statuesque figure, gorgeous smile and exotic looks, it’s not hard to fill in the gaps on why Kezia has become the country’s favourite. However, seems most of us don’t know many details about Kezia Warouw. So here we present you with five fun facts about Puteri Indonesia 2016. Read on!
Kezia Roslin Cikita Warouw was born on April 18, 1991, in North Sulawesi. Standing tall at 183cm, Kezia’s physique is a force of nature that makes her not only stand out from the crowd but also suitable to wear any kind of design. However, not many know this, but Kezia grew up feeling insecure about her height. When her mum asked her to consider modelling, Kezia then fell in love with the runway and has never look back since then.
Starting her career on the catwalk at an early age, Kezia Warouw isn’t lacking in accolades. The Sulawesian beauty has previously been named North Sulawesi's Ambassador for a cultural exchange event in Poland in 2006, a finalist at the World Education Expo in 2014, while being the second runner-up in the Gading Model Search 2015 as well as a runner-up in the Miss North Sulawesi pageant in 2015 before snaking her way in and winning the same competition next year.
A graduate from Esa Unggul University, Kezia Warouw majored in information technology and has stated that she fell in love with PHP programming during her university time. Brain and beauty this one!
She made an app
Based on her education, Kezia Warouw made time to develop an Android application that’s aimed at promoting Indonesian culture and tourism. With a lot on her plate, the application hasn’t made ample of progress, but never says never in this case.
Designed by East Java-based designer Dynand Fariz, Kezia Warouw shined on and garnered major spotlight attention after appearing in a badass golden Garuda’s costume embellished with copper plates and stone ornaments and wings that appear with lights. Inspired by Indonesia’s national motto, Bhineka Tunggal Ika, which translates to Unity in Diversity, Kezia is slate to wear her Garuda costume during the upcoming Miss Universe event.
