Chinese New Year has passed on February 5, but the hype is still being felt. There are a lot of things to do during Imlek, like spending time with family or loved ones, giving ang pao, dining, and, of course, taking pictures. And that’s what our Tatler friends did. Judging from their Instagram posts, we found that several of our friends celebrated the holiday with full hearts, decked in gorgeous red, and enjoying every moment with each other. Here, we bring you a recap.
The CEO of MNC Group did not want to miss celebrating Imlek with his beloved wife, children, and grandchildren. All dressed in Chinese-style outfits, this family looks nothing but elegant—especially Liliana Tanoesoedibjo, who looked like Chinese empress in a red cheongsam complete with hair accessories.
Celebrating her first Imlek as one half of a married couple made the county manager of Guavapass, Jovita Widjaja, experience for the first time giving ang pao to her family. See how happy she is standing next to her husband laughing while posing in front of red ang pao tree.
Aga Bakrie and Rosalindynata Gunawan-Bakrie
Brand-new parents Aga Bakrie and Rosalindynata Gunawan spent Chinese New year with their little bundle of joy. The proud parents posted a picture of their adorable little family spending Imlek together, with the baby also dressed in a Chinese outfit. How cute!
